Funeral Collections
Funeral donations are often requested in lieu of flowers
Our fundraising team can provide you with free envelopes for donations or collection boxes for the funeral. You may order these by contacting fundraising@harlingtonhospice.org or by calling 020 8106 9222.
You can set up a Michael Sobell House or Harlington Hospice special moments tribute page that enables you to create an online funeral notice providing guests with everything they need. The page allows you to collect funeral donations and your guests can post messages of condolence and light remembrance candles when they visit the tribute page.
To arrange for a collection at somebody’s funeral, please get in touch with our Fundraising Team on 020 8106 9222 or email fundraising@harlingtonhospice.org.
Donations requested in Funeral Wishes documents
If you make plans for your funeral in advance, you might want to request that donations are provided to Michael Sobell House or Harlington Hospice.Â
Funeral Wishes can be expressed with a loved one orally, written down on a paper or documented digitally and then printed and shared.Â
We have partnered with MyWishes (free to use) to help residents document their funeral and wider wishes. You might want to use MyWishes, speak with someone you trust, write your funeral wishes on a piece of paper or use an alternative, online service.Â
Why we need your support
As a charity only part funded by the NHS, every year we need to raise £2.4 million in voluntary income. It is only with the kindness of our supporters that we can be alongside our vibrant Hillingdon community at their time of need.Â
We know how important it is that people living alongside serious or terminal illness can access support that’s shaped around them, when and where they need it. Your donations allow us to keep our Hospice running every day, as well as go above and beyond for people experiencing the most vulnerable moments in their lives.
